Home / Hydrogen learning library
Forty original articles about real demonstrations and the engineering questions behind household hydrogen. Start with a topic, not a product promise.
The library contains exactly 40 educational articles plus this separate index page. Its topics are curated rather than repeated across property types or locations. Project profiles establish who did what and when; technical articles explain the questions a complete household system must answer.
Japan has a verified residential fuel-cell example in ENE-FARM, but Tokyo Gas describes hydrogen extracted from city gas, not a home supplied entirely with green hydrogen. Panasonic’s separate H2 KIBOU FIELD is a pure-hydrogen industrial demonstration whose April 2024 account says renewable-origin hydrogen had not yet been used.
These are independent educational articles about third-party projects and energy engineering, not endorsements, partnerships or evidence that H2OME is available. H2OME remains an early-development desk study with a 10 kW design target, not verified output. Solar discussed in external projects does not alter H2OME’s separate grid, wind and micro-hydro charging brief. Qualified professionals must assess any real installation.
Dated project profiles with clear boundaries between appliance trials, microgrids, residential cogeneration and industrial demonstrations.
Understand fuels, conversion, power, energy and useful heat before comparing household claims.
Assess storage duration, conversion losses, usable reserve, space and the opportunity to replenish energy.
Understand the equipment interfaces and professional responsibility needed for a complete supported installation.
Prepare questions for qualified assessors. These articles are not installation, conversion or emergency-response instructions.
Trace electricity and fuel provenance, distinguish reaction products from lifecycle impacts and retain project-specific charging boundaries.
Compare actual household services, costs, practical alternatives and the limits of energy-independence language.
Read targets, tests, pilot results and product claims using explicit measurement, acceptance and support boundaries.
HyHome in Wollert, Victoria, ATCO’s Jandakot work in Western Australia, Japanese residential cogeneration and the 2025 Te Horo gas-blending pilot have different inputs and objectives. They are not interchangeable proofs of a domestic electrolyser-and-fuel-cell product. Every article retains sources, limitations and links to the relevant technical questions.
These pages explain background for informed discussion. They do not instruct readers to build, convert or connect hydrogen equipment, modify pressure systems or alter fixed wiring. A real proposal needs qualified professional assessment and documented support.
Ask us about H2OME, tell us about your property or register your interest in the proposed system. We are in early development. No payment or purchase commitment; contacting us does not guarantee a pilot installation.
